Both the 1.5 inch and 1 inch wide embossed leather collars are made from hardwearing cow leather.
These collars have heavy duty buckles and a high rise bottom dee to provide extra strength and are ideal for the rural pet – dog, calf or goat!

Christmas Twighlight Market


The Old Packhouse will be home to its “Christmas Twilight Market” from 4-8 pm on Thursday 21st December 2017.  Fresh Produce, Street Food , local vineyards will be there, along with the opportunity to buy by the glass and relax after your long day. There will be tons of gift ideas if you are stuck!  It’s also a great chance to top up your fridge with the best of Northland’s produce- see you there! AND MERRY XMAS EVERYBODY!

Entertainment:  Scarlet Fever on the front stage.

Highlights from our 2nd Birthday



A man known only as Red from Dairy Flat cleaned up the “Most Disgusting Way to Eat an Oyster” by using his long ginger beard to eat an oyster.Hundreds of shellfish lovers were at our annual Oyster Feastival to celebrate the Market’s 2nd birthday.

Other finalists were “Hangi Bro” Rob Peterson, who squished his oyster on the ground before sucking it up, and Lilly Brinsdon of Haruru Falls, who ate her oyster off the sole of her sneaker.

Other attractions at the festival included oyster eating races, shellfish treats such as oyster po boys and fritters, helicopter rides, a children’s petting zoo and merry go round.

We are a Maori husband and wife team, and the way we create our work is inspired by traditional Maori practice crafted with a distinctive contemporary style. Each piece is made for day to day use but has a natural decorative beauty. Our range includes open kete, lidded kete, bark kete, computer satchels, shoulder bags, back packs, hand purses, gift pouches, baskets, hats, poi, walking sticks, talking sticks, hiking sticks, kites, sling shots and more. The variety makes choosing a unique gift for someone special or something special for yourself, easy. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, we are more than happy to work with you to design and craft bespoke pieces or negotiate orders that exactly meet your needs. We’re here every week, you can find us inside the building, passed the glass front carving shop, nau mai, haere mai.

Stallholder Spotlight- Hokianga Hats

Hokianga Hats is a one-woman operation run by Judy Cartwright.  Each season a new range is designed in predominately natural fabrics such as cotton, linen and silk.  The hats are adjustable, some are reversible and the summer hats are washable. Hand-made flowers enhance several of the styles and this season a few hats for gentlemen will be added to the range.  At the fantastic Packhouse Market most of the summer.  Ph 4057617 for enquires.
